The CONTEC BC300 is a semi-automated biochemistry blood analyser designed for clinical and veterinary laboratories that require accurate, multi-parameter measurements from blood and other body fluids. It combines a 7-inch colour touch screen, a built-in thermal printer, and a robust set of measurement methods to help diagnose disease, evaluate organ function, and identify disease markers. Absorbency and Wavelength

The BC300 operates across an absorbency range of -0.3 to 3.0 Abs with a display resolution of 0.001 Abs and an internal calculation resolution of 0.0001 Abs. It uses a halogen lamp light source and offers six fixed wavelength positions at 340, 405, 510, 546, 578, and 620 nm, plus two free positions for custom applications. Half-bandwidth is ≤12 nm, ensuring reliable spectral separation.

Temperature Control and Stability

The system maintains temperature accuracy of ±0.1°C at selectable settings of room temperature, 25°C, 30°C, or 37°C. Stability is rated at ≤0.005 A over 30 minutes, supporting consistent readings across a batch of samples.

Sample Handling and Cross Contamination

A 30 μL quartz flow cell is used for colorimetric measurements, with a sample volume range of 0–6000 μL. Cross contamination is kept to ≤1.0%, reducing the risk of carryover between samples.

Up to 500 test items and 10,000 test results can be stored. The analyser includes one standard RS232 interface, four USB interfaces, and one Ethernet port for data transmission and processing. Power-off protection automatically saves measurement results.
