CONTEC BC300 Semi-Auto Biochemistry Blood Analyser – Touch Screen Multi-Parameter with Free Printer

CONTEC BC300 semi-auto biochemistry blood analyser with touch screen, thermal printer, and quartz flow cell on benchtop.

The CONTEC BC300 is a semi-automated biochemistry blood analyser designed for clinical and veterinary laboratories that require accurate, multi-parameter measurements from blood and other body fluids. It combines a 7-inch colour touch screen, a built-in thermal printer, and a robust set of measurement methods to help diagnose disease, evaluate organ function, and identify disease markers. With support for four languages – Chinese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese – it is suitable for diverse laboratory environments. The analyser stores up to 500 test items and 10,000 test results, making it a practical choice for busy clinics and research facilities.

Measurement Performance and Precision

The instrument delivers a wide absorbency range and high resolution for accurate biochemical analysis.

Absorbency and Wavelength

The BC300 operates across an absorbency range of -0.3 to 3.0 Abs with a display resolution of 0.001 Abs and an internal calculation resolution of 0.0001 Abs. It uses a halogen lamp light source and offers six fixed wavelength positions at 340, 405, 510, 546, 578, and 620 nm, plus two free positions for custom applications. Half-bandwidth is ≤12 nm, ensuring reliable spectral separation.

Temperature Control and Stability

The system maintains temperature accuracy of ±0.1°C at selectable settings of room temperature, 25°C, 30°C, or 37°C. Stability is rated at ≤0.005 A over 30 minutes, supporting consistent readings across a batch of samples.

Sample Handling and Cross Contamination

A 30 μL quartz flow cell is used for colorimetric measurements, with a sample volume range of 0–6000 μL. Cross contamination is kept to ≤1.0%, reducing the risk of carryover between samples.

Software, Data Management, and Connectivity

The Linux-based operating system provides a colour graphical interface with multiple control options. Data management features simplify workflow in a busy lab.

Touch Screen and Input Methods

The 7-inch colour LCD (800×480 pixels) responds to touch, function keys, or an external USB mouse and keyboard, giving the operator flexibility in how they run tests.

Quality Control and Reporting

Each test item can be set with quality control for two batch numbers. The instrument automatically computes QC statistics, draws QC charts, and stores up to one year of QC data and charts. Results can be printed in multiple formats through the built-in thermal printer or an external printer connected via USB.

Storage and Interfaces

Up to 500 test items and 10,000 test results can be stored. The analyser includes one standard RS232 interface, four USB interfaces, and one Ethernet port for data transmission and processing. Power-off protection automatically saves measurement results.

Self-Check, Safety, and Environmental Specifications

Built-in self-diagnostics and protective features help maintain reliable operation over time.

Self-Check and Alarms

The self-check function monitors the light path, liquid path, and mechanical components. It will alarm if any failure is detected, allowing the operator to address issues before running samples.

Power and Lamp Management

The lamp includes an auto-dormancy feature to extend its life. The power supply accepts 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Fuses are provided as part of the package.

Operating and Storage Conditions

The analyser is designed for indoor use at a temperature of 10–30°C and relative humidity ≤80%. For transport and storage, it can tolerate -40°C to 55°C and up to 95% relative humidity, with atmospheric pressure between 860 hPa and 1060 hPa.

Applications and Value

This analyser serves clinical laboratories, veterinary clinics, and research facilities that need a compact yet capable biochemistry platform.

Clinical Diagnostics

By measuring biochemical indexes from blood samples, the BC300 helps clinicians diagnose diseases, evaluate organ function, and monitor treatment response. It supports multiple measurement methods, including end point, two-point, kinetics, and double wavelength.

Veterinary Use

With its flexibility in sample volume and language options, the analyser is also well suited for veterinary practices that need multi-parameter biochemistry profiling for animal patients.

Low Maintenance and Support

The BC300 comes with a halogen lamp, pipette, and pump pipe as part of the package. Its self-check function and power-off protection reduce the need for constant monitoring, while the built-in printer eliminates the requirement for a separate printing device.
